What is Esoteric?
A Windows app that runs a faceless voice-over YouTube channel end to end, on your own PC: ideas, scripts, recording, a clean take, gameplay, captions and the final export, in one place.
What do I need to run it?
Windows 10 or 11. The installer has everything inside; there's nothing else to install. An NVIDIA graphics card speeds up exports with hardware encoding, but any PC that runs Windows 10 or 11 works.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
No. Esoteric is Windows only.
Does my work get uploaded anywhere?
No. Recording, cleaning, the gameplay scan, grading and the export all run on your PC. The app only contacts our server to check your license. The Script writer, where you have it, sends your prompt to the AI service you choose with your own key.
How does the prompter follow my voice?
It listens as you read and lights the word you're on, about a tenth of a second behind you. It waits when you pause and goes back with you when you start a line over. If you'd rather it scrolled at a steady pace, there's a mode for that too.
What gets cut in the clean take?
Retakes and repeated lines (your last read is kept), fillers, ad-libs that aren't in the script and every slip you marked with the flub key. Each cut is placed on the quietest moment nearby. You can see and undo every one.
What audio gear works?
Any microphone Windows can see. With an audio interface, Esoteric records natively through WASAPI in exclusive mode: bit-perfect, at the rate the interface actually runs, from whichever input channel you pick. The file is written as you record, so a crash doesn't lose the take.
Which games does the gameplay step know?
More than 300 by name, and over 170 of them recognised from the picture itself. Each gets a colour grade made for it. It finds recordings from the NVIDIA app, the Xbox Game Bar, OBS, Medal and other common tools.
Is the Script writer included?
It's in a members preview today and is coming to every plan. It uses your own free Gemini key or Claude. Plans are priced for everything else, which is all included now.
How does the free trial work?
Monthly and Yearly start with 3 days free for new subscribers. A card is needed to start. Cancel before the 3 days end and you're not charged; otherwise the plan begins. The trial is once per person: if your email or card has had a subscription before, you're charged at checkout.
Can I use it on more than one PC?
A license is activated on one PC at a time. If you change computers, email support and we'll move it.
Does it work offline?
Yes, for up to 7 days at a time. The app checks your license when it can and keeps working offline in between, as long as your plan is current.
How do I cancel or change plan?
From Manage billing with your license key. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
What's the refund policy?
See Refunds.
Will this make me money?
Esoteric makes the videos faster and cleaner. What a channel earns depends on the channel, and we don't promise any result.
